The NHS has introduced the 111 number as a way of reducing the burden on the already over-stretched accident and emergency departments in the UK’s hospitals. However, the recent launch of the 111 service has not been a success, especially if you were one of the patients trying to use it. The first apology came from the NHS spokesperson just 12 days after the launch of the service.
How is this phone service going to impact the number of misdiagnosis and malpractice cases that the NHS already faces? Are we going to see more and more people being misdiagnosed over the phone?
